Stetson Composers Featured at 47th Annual Florida Flute Association Convention

The Stetson University Composition Studio were prominently featured at the Florida Flute Association 47th Annual Members Convention on January 27-28, 2023. 

Dr. Tammara K. Phillips and Dr. Kristie Born performed the world premiere of Corazón de Fuego for flute and piano by alumnus Brandon Connors-Morrison (BM Composition ’22) during the Friday evening Guest Artist Gala Concert. Brandon is currently pursuing his Master of Composition Degree at NYU, studying with Julia Wolfe.

The Stetson University Flute Choir also performed 2 pieces by Stetson Composers on Saturday, January 28. Audiogenic Odyssey, written by alumnus Adam Cole (BM Composition ’22), and V. (World Premiere), written by Kayli McClafferty (BM Theory and Composition ’23) was featured during the Flute Ensemble Showcase Concert on Saturday afternoon.
