The Florida Federation of Music Clubs Collegiate Voice Competition is an annual voice competition that is open to young promising vocalists. Nicholas placed second in the male category. He was sponsored by Harmony Music Club. The competition took place in The Historic Thomas Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Nicholas studied with Dr. Craig Maddox and is currently in the studio of Dr. Chadley Ballantyne.
