Griffin Weber (BMp, 2016) continues to enjoy success early on in his varied music career.
Having co-founded the group in 2017, Griffin currently serves as Principal Trumpet in the Orlando Contemporary Chamber Orchestra, an ensemble of Central Florida’s finest musicians dedicated to performing the works of living composers. Additionally, he performs frequently as a freelance musician all over the state of Florida.
In Fall 2020, Griffin joined the staff at Stetson University’s School of Music as Sound Crew Manager and Video Production Coordinator to help sustain our students’ education through virtual performance opportunities, notably through Christmas Candlelight 2020 and various other recording projects.
Griffin maintains a private lessons studio, filled with students of all ages and in Fall 2020, he was appointed as Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at the University of Tampa. “I consider working with young musicians to be a huge honor. It doesn’t make a difference if they are a performance major at UT or a 12 year old beginner; I just love teaching music.”
Griffin attributes much of his early successes to the wonderful professors, musical experiences, friendships he continues to forge during his time at Stetson University.
