Stetson University School of Music Hosts Fifth Annual Piano Day

The Stetson University School of Music welcomed young pianists to campus on September 5 for the fifth annual Stetson Piano Day, featuring guest artist Spencer Myer, Professor of Music and Chair of the Piano Department at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Participants took part in masterclasses, a faculty Q&A, and a guest artist masterclass with Myer. Stetson piano faculty Sean Kennard, Hannah Sun, and Dean Washington Garcia worked directly with students throughout the day, offering guidance in performance, interpretation, technique, and musicianship.
The event followed Myer’s guest artist recital on September 4 and concluded with the presentation of Piano Day Student Awards.
Piano Day provides young pianists with an opportunity to experience collegiate-level music study, engage with distinguished artists and faculty, and connect with the Stetson School of Music community.
