Stetson School of Music Alumnus Stephan Fillare Takes on Key Leadership Positions at Furman University

Stetson University School of Music alumnus Stephan Fillare has been appointed as the Instructor of Music, Conductor of the Furman Symphony Orchestra, and Director of Orchestral Activities at Furman University.

After earning his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Stetson University under the guidance of Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez, Stephan’s career trajectory was profoundly shaped. His transformative experiences at Stetson, characterized by rigorous standards and nurturing mentorship, prepared him for a successful decade in New York City’s dynamic music scene.

As he embarks on this new chapter at Furman, Stephan carries the values and ideals instilled in him at Stetson, ready to inspire and impact the Furman University community just as he was inspired during his time as a Hatter.

Congratulations to Stephan on his exciting new role.
