Owen Gonzalez Selected as Grant Park Vocal Fellow

Baritone Owen Gonzalez was selected as one of four 2026 Vocal Fellows with the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago. The four singers were chosen from a record-breaking number of applicants for the Festival’s intensive professional development program for emerging artists.
As a Vocal Fellow, Owen rehearsed and performed as part of the Grant Park Chorus and participated in performances throughout Chicago. The fellowship also provides emerging musicians with one-on-one mentorship and professional experience in ensemble performance, public speaking, and career development.
A graduate of the Stetson University School of Music, Owen earned his Bachelor of Music and studied voice with Dr. Chadley Ballantyne and Dr. Nathan Munson. In 2023, he made his Carnegie Hall debut at Weill Recital Hall as a member of a vocal quartet in the inaugural Stetson in New York concert.
Owen is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Voice Performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, continuing his development as a singer and emerging professional artist.
The Stetson University School of Music congratulates Owen on this selective fellowship and his continued growth as a young artist.
