On January 15, 2026, Iván Kostornyi performed during the Honors Recital finals of the Ocala Symphony’s 35th Annual Young Artist Competition. Comprising nine finalists across two age categories, the finals included concertos by Ludwig van Beethoven, Camille Saint-Saëns, Lowell Liebermann, Jean Sibelius — whose violin concerto Iván performed — Franz Joseph Haydn, Henryk Wieniawski, Rey Rosauro, Eduoard Lalo and Sergei Rachmaninov. As a result of winning the Junior Division, Iván will be playing the first movement of the Sibelius Concerto with the Ocala Symphony at the Reilly Arts Center on March 21 at 7:30 p.m. and March 22 at 3:00 p.m.
