Stetson Music Education faculty Dr. Greg LeFils and Dr. John Lychner presented sessions at the annual Florida Music Educator Association (FMEA) conference in Tampa in January of 2026.

They shared a session titled “Ensembles that Think, Hear, and Respond: Interactive Strategies for Harmonic and Melodic Awareness” that was well attended, interactive and very well received.

In addition, Lychner presented a session titled “Variety is the Spice of Life! – Strategies for Getting the Most Out of Rehearsals” to enthusiastic attendees that included many Stetson alumni and students.

LeFils and Lychner were honored to be chosen to share current research-based ideas and concepts with attendees at this important conference.
