Christian Ricketts (BME ’19) has been named Teacher of the Year at DeLand Middle School.  

Ricketts is in his fifth year as the Band Director at DeLand Middle School and has been honored before by administration and students with three Teacher of the Month awards and Rookie Teacher of the Year.  

At DeLand Middle School, Ricketts teaches band at all levels (6th-8th grade) and also serves on the marching band staff at DeLand High School.
