Stetson University student Geoffery Barthle has been named the inaugural Conducting Apprentice for the American Prize-winning Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra (WSO) for the 2025–2026 season.

As part of the apprenticeship, Barthle will travel to Virginia to observe and conduct rehearsals and performances with both the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra and the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO). He will study under Dr. Peter Wilson, music director of both ensembles.
