Sidney P. Jackson, Jr. has been named the new President and CEO of the Chicago Sinfonietta, bringing nearly two decades of nonprofit leadership experience across arts, social justice, and community sectors. Board Chair James Weidner and Music Director Mei-Ann Chen praised Jackson’s strategic insight, fundraising expertise, and commitment to equity and innovation as key assets for the organization’s future. Jackson, who most recently served as Vice President for Development at the New Jersey Symphony, will officially be welcomed during the Sinfonietta’s concert weekend on May 9–10 while continuing special projects in New Jersey through mid-June.
