Stetson’s ACDA Chapter Sent Students to National Conference in Texas

From March 18-22, Stetson’s ACDA chapter sent members Tabitha Jenkins, Vyktor Hansen, and Isaac Vincente to the National ACDA Conference in Dallas, Texas.

While there, they attended lectures, masterclasses, forums, concerts, receptions, and more to learn about directing choirs and to meet other choir directors – from well-established professors to pre-service collegiate members.

Some notable sessions included a music reading session with Ola Gjeilo, keynote address by Craig Hella Johnson, the undergraduate conducting competition masterclass, and performances by the Leipzig Thomanerchor, University of Pretoria Camerata, Luther College Nordic Choir, and BYU Singers.

These students learned an incredible amount over the course of the conference and are now applying that knowledge to their studies back at Stetson.
