This Spring, the Stetson School of Music and the Bethune-Cookman Department of Music came together to share music and build relationships, as they have for several years.

On March 28th, the Stetson Concert Choir and the Bethune-Cookman Concert Chorale performed a joint concert in the Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was an energetic evening of inspired music-making.

The next day, the future music educators from the NAfME Collegiate chapters of both schools met on the Stetson campus for a friendly game of kickball. A good time was had by all!

These recent shared experiences are an outgrowth of Stetson and Bethune-Cookman collaborating to bring in national leaders in Music Education to present lecture and workshops, and to interact with Music Education students and faculty from both schools over the past six years.

These have been incredibly positive experiences, and we look forward to more opportunities to share experiences in the future!
