Stetson Grad Making Waves in the A Cappella World

Titonix A Cappella, under the direction of Jonathan Anderson (Stetson 2015), has achieved an impressive milestone by placing 3rd in the ICHSA (International Competition for High School A Cappella). Anderson founded the group last school year with the aim of creating a non-traditional vocal ensemble that would provide students with a creative outlet for their talents. Inspired by his experience as a member of Hattrick at Stetson, Anderson is dedicated to spreading A Cappella in public schools. Competing for just the second year, Titonix secured 3rd place in the state, standing out among performing arts magnets and private schools from all across Florida. Notably, half of their performance set was arranged by their very own Greta Peeples, who received the “Best Arrangement” award. These students performed difficult 8-part pop A Cappella arrangements with choreography and a style the judges loved. They represented the University High School Titan Chorus well and they can’t wait to see what next year holds.
