Alumna Nathalie Simper (BMp ’15) has launched The Limitless Musician, a podcast through KE Creative, a digital company that focuses on the business education and empowerment of classical musicians. As an advocate for comprehensive career training for classical musicians, Simper is using Instagram and the newest podcast to empower classical musicians to find modern solutions to the challenges they face in building a sustainable career.

As a musician who does it all, Simper is a performer, educator, coach, studio owner, and music entrepreneur. She works alongside flutist Dr. Katherine Emeneth, who is a trailblazer in training musicians to become self-sufficient and successful studio owners and entrepreneurs. Simper specializes in organizational efficiency to support musicians building careers that enhances their lifestyle instead of restricts it.

The purpose of The Limitless Musician podcast is to acknowledge the limits modern musicians face in building a music career that is not one-size-fits-all. Simper offers support to musicians who feel they are alone in the struggles they experience and the gaps of knowledge from their college degree programs. With the first three episodes released in the January launch, Simper discusses what it means to embody the limitless musician mindset, how to overcome mental roadblocks, and how musicians can embrace their individuality to build a music career.

At Stetson, Simper studied with Susan McQuinn and Dr. Jean Ohlsson West. She earned a Master of Music from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville (’16) and in addition to music entrepreneurship coaching, she maintains a full-time private studio and tours with fellow Stetson alumnus and pianist Miles Andrew Sutton (BMoF ’15) as the TraverSura Duo.

Simper continues to give back to Stetson University with annual residencies to offer musical and career support to the flute studio under the direction of Dr. Tammara K. Phillips.
