Georgie Gonzalez, a music performance major who studied under Dr. Jamie Clark, attended the Castleman Quartet Program (CQP) in Fredonia.
At CQP, participants engage in an intensive solo and chamber music curriculum, meticulously preparing for competitions and auditions. Ensembles remain together for the entire program duration, with all CQP faculty actively teaching verbal and non-verbal communication skills, principles of group dynamics, and mediating problem resolution. With only 36 applicants accepted each season, CQP boasts an impressive success rate, with numerous alumni securing prestigious positions in universities, professional chamber groups, and orchestras worldwide.
The faculty includes notable figures such as Eric Wilson, the founding cellist of the Emerson Quartet, Grammy-nominated cellist Terry King, and Csaba Erdèlyi, among others.
