Aine Mullen, a first-year viola performance major under the direction of Dr. Jesus Alfonzo, has been accepted into the Eastern Music Festival orchestra program.
The EMF orchestra program engages individuals ages 14 to 23, showcasing two highly talented orchestras with participants worldwide. Rehearsing rigorously six times weekly, they prepare full-length ticketed concert programs throughout the summer. They also participate in chamber ensembles, giving recitals at the end of the program.
Aine will study under violist Chauncey Patterson during her time there.
Some repertoire highlights include Bartók: Concerto for Orchestra, Dvořák: Symphony No. 9, Bruckner: Symphony No. 4, Mahler: Symphony No. 6, and many more.
