Chadley Ballantyne was a co-instructor at the 2023 Acoustic Vocal Pedagogy Workshop, in collaboration with Ian Howell and Ken Bozeman. The workshop was presented online in July and in-person at the University of Michigan during the first week of August. The workshop drew participants from around the globe for lectures, masterclasses, workshops, and small group and individual lessons exploring the acoustical and perceptual landscape of singing and singing training. In addition to lessons and masterclasses, Dr. Ballantyne presented lectures on resonance and articulation, adolescent vocal pedagogy, vibrotactile awareness in singing, and acoustic vocal pedagogy for commercial music singing styles. The AVP workshop has previously been held at the New England Conservatory and the Björklunden campus of Lawrence University.
