Mari Valderrama, a violin performance student in the studio of Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez, attended the Longy Divergent Studio for new music performance and composition this past June. They had the opportunity to attend lectures from world-renowned composition professors, like Alexander Mincek and Amy-Beth Kristen, receive private composition lessons with Dr Niloufar Nourbakhsh and Pablo Chin, and learn about new music performance with the Loadbang quartet. They got to perform pieces from several new music composers. They also premiered two pieces of music of theirs, BBEG! premiered by the City Seabirds and Find My Way! premiered by the divergent trio.
