In 2019, PBS released the video “Robert Shaw-Man of Many Voices” which featured some of Shaw’s acquaintances. Two of those interviewees are Stetson graduates. John Head, Stetson ’58, trumpet, with the Atlanta Symphony and Nola Frink, Stetson ’59, Choral Administrator with the Atlanta Symphony. Other interviews include musicians Yo-Yo Ma, Sylvia McNair, Alice Parker, Marietta Simpson and Florence Kopleff, as well as family members, admirers and friends, including President Jimmy Carter and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young.
The recent release of the video is a perfect example of how Stetson graduates continue to influence our contemporary world.
